Monday, April 19th~~~It was a great day to play! We started at Billings Park and had a pretty good turnout. After stopping at the gas station, we moved to the soccer field. The girls were having a game and a few boys came over to us who were watching the game. We played them and it was one of the most fun days we've had in a long time! We hope to play them again soon. Thursday, April 22nd~~~The crew met at Sammy's Pizza in Duluth. Derek made reservations for us and they were having an anniversary sale. A mini meeting was held and we went to Pete's house afterward to finish it up. Not very much was decided, but many new ideas were brought up and feel free to think of new things. Contact any of the captains or me!> Monday, April 26th~~~Kerri and I met to decide a few things about the meeting that will be held as soon as possible. Let one of the captains or me know if you have any conflicting days during the week. We are going to try to make a schedule. Tuesday, April 27th~~~We had a scheduled game against the boys, but they cancelled. The wind was wicked so we moved to another park once again. Turtle Park was fun and we should play there more often. Lane took excellent pictures. I will make a page for them as soon as I have time. We had another mini meeting at Kerri's and Lane learned how to upload the photos. I will be distributing player profile forms soon. Tuesday, May 4th~~~The Bayside Baptist game was amazing! We did lose, but it was a close game. They are scheduling games every Tuesday, so we can talk and see when everyone will be able to come. Tuesday, May 11th~~~The Bayside Baptist crew held another Tuesday episode of Ultimate Frisbee. However, Mark's promise of less wind did not come through, as we played in a tornado. Tuesday, May 18th~~~Perfect Weather! The greatest game of Ultimate Frisbee ever played by Superior Ultimate by far. We used teamwork and determination to make it through a hard fought game. The end came on a play from our male captains. Standing on our own goal line, Jon saw Kevin darting toward the endzone, and using good throwing skill threw a beautiful arcing pass that first looked like it was going was out of bounds, but then made a return to just inside the endzone, it slipped right past Jeff, and flew right into the sure hands of Kevin. We then decided that it was too beautiful of a day to end so early, and began to play another short game to seven points. We got up on them 5-1, but then they made a miraculous comeback, and ended up pulling ahead 6-5. Sadly for them, the whole UFO stepped it up, and we managed to pull of two in a row, to clinch the game with a 7-6 score.
